On Friday, Jan. 13, Gordon Hospital held a Patient Experience Summit for the clinics of Gordon Physicians Group. More than 250 healthcare providers and staff attended.
Awards were presented to clinics, employees, and providers for their outstanding patient experience scores and commitment to extending the healing ministry of Christ.
Two clinics of Gordon Physicians Group were recognized for their excellent patient experience scores. The Overall Highest Family Practice Clinic Award was presented to Cook Family Practice. The Overall Highest Specialty Clinic Award was presented to North Georgia Cancer Care.
Several employees were acknowledged for their commitment to service with Service Excellence Awards. Recipients include Tequila East, Rebecca Stonecipher, Hilary Balliew, Justin Moore, Kimberly Bryant, and Melissa Gifford.
Providers were recognized for receiving high marks in patient experience metrics. Providers who received this award include Dr. Daniel Ahn, Dr. Robert Cook, Dr. Eric Turner, Dr. Scott LePor, Diane Williams, NP, and Anne-Marie Goble, NP.
Guest speaker Dr. Thomas Howell also attended the summit and gave a presentation on patient satisfaction. Howell is the patient experience medical director at the Mayo Clinic. His presentation reached out to providers and all other clinic employees by discussing how leadership and relationships with patients improve patient experience.
