Gordon Hospital has supported the Adairsville community for the past 10 years and is now further expanding its services in the community. Due to the growing demand for additional healthcare services in Adairsville, Gordon Hospital broke ground on a new medical office building on Friday, March 17. As a commitment to partnering with the community, Gordon Hospital selected local contractor Momon Construction to complete the project.
Gordon Hospital purchased property in Adairsville four years ago with the intent to invest in the community. Upon the completion of the hospitals new ER, ICU, and PCU, Gordon Hospital is focused on fulfilling the healthcare needs of the Adairsville community.
The new medical office building will house a primary care clinic, an orthopedics and sports medicine clinic, and additional specialty services. Imaging and laboratory services will also be available.
We are thrilled to broaden our services in Adairsville, said Dr. Joe Joyave, Chief Medical Officer of Gordon Hospital. Providing world-class healthcare to this community is one of our top priorities.
As a part of Gordon Hospital Adairsville Family Medicine, Dr. Byron Littlefield and Dr. Garrett Post have been serving the community for several years and are passionate about providing optimal healthcare to the people of Adairsville. Once the medical office building is complete, they will transition to the new location and continue caring for patients as their primary care physicians.
"I am excited that Gordon is expanding in Adairsville and will be able to provide healthcare services closer to our Adairsville folks, said Dr. Post. It will be nice for them to be able to get specialty care in their hometown."
Dr. Littlefield has served the community for numerous years and is thrilled to be a part of enhancing the healthcare services in Adairsville. "I'm looking forward to the opportunity to serve our patients in a new, modern, top-notch facility, said Dr. Littlefield. We hope to continue to provide competent, compassionate healthcare in the way we would want our family and friends to be treated."
In addition to the organic growth of the community, multiple industries have been growing rapidly in Adairsville, creating a larger need for medical services. Gordon Hospital looks forward to partnering with these industries to provide the best healthcare to their workforce.
In 2016, Gordon Hospital was one of only two hospitals in Georgia to receive the coveted 5-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Additionally, Gordon Hospital was named one of the Top 100 Community Hospitals by Beckers Hospital Review.
