General Surgeon Named Physician of the Quarter

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., April 21, 2017 On April 19, Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center named general surgeon Dr. Christopher Grove as the physician of the quarter for 2017s first quarter.

The hallmark of Dr. Groves care is how compassionate he is, both with patients and hospital staff. When patients need surgery, they are often scared or anxious. Dr. Grove makes a point to go above and beyond to help comfort them and spends the time to ensure he address any concerns or worries they may have, said Darlinda Copeland, Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center chief operating officer. He treats our staff with the utmost respect and fosters a culture of teamwork in the operating room and on the nursing floors. Dr. Groves kind and collaborative attitude not only creates a better environment for both patients and staff alike, but also improves the safety of our patient care.

Grove has 15 years of medical experience and has been at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center in Daytona Beach since 2016. He earned his medical degree from University of Alabama School of Medicine and is board certified by the American Board of Surgery.
