WEST VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla., February 3, 2017 Florida Hospital DeLand in DeLand and Florida Hospital Fish Memorial in Orange City have selected Jon Barrett to serve as director of information services for the two West Volusia hospitals.
In this role, Barrett will be responsible for managing, maintaining and implementing information technology services for both facilities, as well as provide information technology support for Adventist Information Technology and hospital business initiatives.
With more than 12 years of experience, Barrett most recently served as information services director for Adventist Health Systems Park Ridge Health in Hendersonville, North Carolina. In this role, he was responsible for coordinating the information services activities and implementing strategic initiatives at the 103-bed acute care hospital, six associated outpatient clinics, and 35 physician offices.
Barrett is a DeLand resident and holds a masters degree in business administration with a minor in technology management, as well as a bachelor degree in information technology.
An U.S. Air Force veteran, he is bilingual in Spanish. He is certified in Cerner Fundamentals and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundations. He is trained in stress and time management, coaching and team building, communication and customer service, and leadership skills by the Leadership Development Institute (LDI), as well as Resonant Leadership and Mission Integration, FOCUS, and Legacy Leadership Summit by the Park Ridge Health Leadership Institute.
