ORMOND BEACH, Fla., July 26, 2016 Cara Truitt has been selected to serve as the executive director of consumer marketing for the Florida Hospital East Florida Region, which encompasses the six Florida Hospitals located within Volusia and Flagler counties.
In this new role, Truitt is responsible for strategic campaign oversight, community relations and sponsorships.
She has 30 years of healthcare marketing experience, serving in various leadership capacities in marketing, community relations, physician practice operations and sales roles for national companies. Most recently, she served as the director of system and regional marketing at Mission Health in Asheville, N.C.
As the daughter of a registered nurse and healthcare executive, Truitt was exposed to many aspects of healthcare at a young age and decided to pursue a career within the healthcare field. She received bachelors degrees in business management and religion from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va.
Throughout her career, Truitt has served on several community boards and committees. The Ormond Beach resident has previously volunteered at a homeless shelter to provide a weekly Bible study group. Additionally, she is an active member of the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development (SHSMD), the Carolinas Healthcare Public Relations and Marketing Society (CHPRMS), and the Chief Marketing Officer Summit.
