Florida Hospital Memorial Foundation Recognizes Philanthropy Champion of the Year

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., December 30, 2016 On National Philanthropy Day, Nov. 15, the Florida Hospital Memorial Foundation recognized board chairman John Olivari as Philanthropy Champion of the Year.

National Philanthropy Day is celebrated each year on Nov. 15 to recognize the great contributions of philanthropy, as well as those who generously give their time and resources to improve the welfare of others.

During the Florida Hospital Memorial Foundation board meeting on Dec. 8, the entire board celebrated his recognition as Philanthropy Champion of the Year and thanked him for his leadership as the foundation board chairman for the last two years.

John has served on the foundation board for over a decade and has assisted with raising funds for many projects throughout the hospital. He was extremely instrumental in raising funds for our Cancer Center, and more recently, our Center for Health and Wellness and the NICU (neonatal intensive care unit), said Ed Noseworthy, Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center CEO. John always finds the time to support our hospital, attending meetings and events, as well as groundbreakings and celebrations. He truly cares about this hospital and we are so blessed to have his support and guidance as our foundation board chairman.

Although Olivari's term as chairman ends this year, he will remain on the foundation board as a member. John Ferguson will serve as the new Florida Hospital Memorial Foundation board chairman in 2017.
