PALM COAST, Fla., July 5, 2018 On June 24, nearly 100 volunteers joined AdventHealth Flagler for a beach clean-up along Flagler Beach.
It was awesome to see many children involved this year’s beach cleanup, as the day is all about teaching our children that it’s our responsibility to care for the environment God gave us, said Eddie Goncalves, AdventHealth Flagler director of pastoral care. The highlight for me this year was when six beachgoers saw what we were doing and asked if they could join our volunteers. I gave them gloves and trash bags and off they went.
All in all, the group picked up seven large bags of trash from the beach.
