Two AdventHealth Waterman leaders have been named to Lake and Sumter Style Magazine’s Top 40 Under Forty Young Leaders list, a recognition highlighting professionals under age 40 who are shaping their communities through service, leadership, and civic involvement.
Andrii Korchuk, chief financial officer at AdventHealth Waterman, and Bibi Bell, an orthopedic program manager for the AdventHealth East Florida Division and a nurse navigator at AdventHealth Waterman, were among this year’s honorees.
The recognition points to leadership that shows up beyond job titles, shaping how care, service and support are experienced locally.
“These recognitions highlight leadership that shows up in everyday ways,” said Brandon Nudd, president and CEO of AdventHealth Waterman, a hospital that has served Lake County since 1938. “Andrii and Bibi focus on people first whether that’s a patient navigating care, a team member doing their job or a neighbor counting on us to be present.”
Korchuk joined AdventHealth Waterman in December 2024, overseeing financial planning and long-term strategy for the 310-bed facility, one of the area’s largest health care employers. His role helps guide resources that support patient care and services, as well as the hospital’s more than 2,000 employees.
Born in Ukraine, Korchuk moved to the United States to continue his education, earning degrees in international business and finance. He credits his upbringing with shaping his perspective on service and responsibility.
“I wanted to learn something new and expand my horizons,” Korchuk said. “Growing up in a pastor’s family taught me how to adapt and to look beyond myself. When Kathy and Tim Wren, educators at AdventHealth University, provided me with an opportunity to receive education at Southern Adventist University, it changed the direction of my life.”
Korchuk also volunteers with international clinics focused on expanding access to care in underserved areas, experiences he said have reinforced the importance of stewardship and community investment.
Bell has spent nearly seven years with AdventHealth, building on a 14-year nursing career that began at the bedside and evolved into program leadership. Today, she works to improve orthopedic care and support patients throughout the joint replacement journey — from education and preparation through recovery — across the AdventHealth East Florida Division’s seven hospitals in Flagler, Lake and Volusia counties.
Her work focuses on reducing confusion, easing anxiety and helping patients feel supported during a process that can be both physically and emotionally demanding.
Outside of her professional role, Bell enjoys serving in the community and participating in mission work, reflecting her deep commitment to caring for others beyond the hospital setting.
“Nursing has always been about people,” Bell said. “It’s listening, teaching and walking alongside someone during a moment that can feel overwhelming.”
