Celebrating the Groundbreaking Ceremony for AdventHealth Deltona ER

Today, AdventHealth Fish Memorial hosted a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the start of construction on AdventHealth Deltona ER.

Located on more than four acres near Deltona High School at 3108 Howland Blvd., this 12-bed freestanding emergency department is a $12 million investment in the Deltona community’s healthcare.

“At AdventHealth, our commitment is to bring healthcare into the community, creating more points for people to access our services and help them feel whole,” said Robert Deininger, AdventHealth Fish Memorial CEO. “We’ve served the Deltona community for many years, but this new ER will provide emergency services in another easily accessible location. This is something we've been looking at for a number of years and it is exciting to finally get to this point today.”

When it opens, AdventHealth Deltona ER will care for both adults and children and will offer the same services found in hospital emergency rooms, including imaging and laboratory services.

Featuring an efficient design, the 14,000-square foot facility accommodates the option to expand and add additional services as needed in the future.

Once completed, approximately 40 full-time employees will be hired to staff the emergency department.

“AdventHealth has been an excellent partner here in the city of Deltona,” said Victor Ramos, Vice Mayor of the City of Deltona. “I'll be honest, I'm extremely excited for the AdventHealth Deltona ER. Being in the City of Deltona for over 13 years now, I've definitely seen the growth that's happening here in the city. The City of Deltona is at a crossroad, and it is a very exciting crossroad, bringing opportunity for a lot of economic development here in our city.”

The architect is Orlando-based HuntonBrady and the contractor is Batson Cook.

Construction is expected to be completed by Summer 2019.
