AdventHealth welcomes physician assistant to growing orthopedic care team

AdventHealth welcomes David Bonney, PA-C, to our orthopedic care team at AdventHealth | Southeastern Orthopedics and Spine at One Health Park Drive*. Bonney is a board-certified physician assistant and will be serving alongside Southeastern Orthopedics and Spine surgeons. He is a welcome addition to this team providing expert orthopedic spinal care for the community of Western North Carolina.

Bonney earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, TN. He then went on to earn his Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree from South College Asheville.

Bonney’s approach to whole-person care is rooted in understanding each patient and team member as individuals. “I always try to put the patient first by listening to what they have to say, respecting their wishes, and diligently working with their best interests in mind. Patients respond positively when they feel heard,” he says.

He believes it takes a team approach to care for patients and meet their full spectrum of care needs. Bonney looks forward to collaborating with colleagues to achieve the best possible patient outcomes.

As a Fletcher native, Bonney brings a deep commitment to serving the community he calls home. Personally, he has always relied on AdventHealth for his own health care needs and is excited to continue the tradition of kindness and helpfulness that defines the organization. “This is my community, and I am proud to serve it in the best way I can,” Bonney says.

Bonney is married to his college sweetheart. They keep busy with two dogs, three cats, five chickens, and a baby on the way. Outside of work, he enjoys woodworking and metalworking, spending time with his wife, family, friends and pets. You will often find him outdoors or exploring new places to eat.
