ASHEVILLE, N.C., — AdventHealth welcomes new anesthesiologist to expand expert surgical care

HENDERSONVILLE, NC, March 20, 2025 – AdventHealth Hendersonville is excited to welcome Voltaire S. Misa, MD, to our esteemed surgical care team. Dr. Misa is a board-certified anesthesiologist and is committed to providing the highest-quality, expert surgical care to our community.

Dr. Misa earned his bachelor's degree in A.B. Philosophy from the University of the Philippines and his Doctor of Medicine degree from La Salle University College of Medicine in the Philippines. He completed his Fellowship in Obstetric Anesthesia at Wake Forest University and his Residency in Anesthesiology at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY.

In his most recent role, Dr. Misa worked as an Anesthesia Provider at Sampson Regional Medical Center while also serving as a Clinical Assistant Professor at UNC Anesthesia Department, where he has been contributing to the education and training of future anesthesiologists since October 2018.

Dr. Misa's career spans more than two decades with notable positions at Portsmouth Anesthesia Associates, and Metro Health Hospital. He is dedicated to compassionate patient care and continues to inspire others through serving in medical education.
