AdventHealth Manchester hosted a heartfelt celebration for National Day of Prayer. The event began with a flag presentation by Clay County High School JROTC, followed by a warm welcome from Nick Bejarano, President and CEO of AdventHealth Manchester. Chaplain Marlon Robinson led the opening prayer, and Mayor Stevie Collins greeted the attendees.
The celebration featured a beautiful rendition of "How Great Thou Art" played on the saxophone by Eddie McHenry, and a moving performance of "I Have Been Blessed" by Sarah White. David Watson delivered a touching devotion on having a conversation with God through prayer and how we are in His presence when we pray. Nick Bejarano also shared insightful information about the history of the National Day of Prayer.
The community came together in various prayers led by different leaders: Pastor Andrew Fultz prayed for our community, Pastor Deni Reis for our leaders and government, Jarett Terpstra for the military and first responders, Angie Jones for schools and churches, Pastor Todd Hicks for local businesses, and Jonathan Owens for hospitals and clinics. The event concluded with a closing prayer from Jamie Couch.
A special thanks to everyone who participated and made today so special. We also extend our gratitude to WTBK_FM 105.7 for broadcasting the event live. It was a beautiful morning of unity and faith, honoring this special day.
