AdventHealth Manchester hosts 'Bloom Your Heart Health' event to promote heart wellness

AdventHealth Manchester recently hosted Bloom Your Heart Health, a creative and educational Heart Month event designed to empower community members with practical tools to support a healthy heart—all while enjoying a relaxing, hands‑on experience.

The event brought participants together for an afternoon of heart‑healthy education paired with a floral design class, blending wellness with creativity in a welcoming environment. Attendees learned simple, meaningful ways to care for their heart while creating their own flower arrangements.

AdventHealth Manchester extends a special thank you to Anna Smith, who led the floral class and helped make the event both engaging and enjoyable for those in attendance.

The program also featured expert heart health education from guest speakers:

  • Brooke Duke, MD, Cardiology and Critical Care Medicine Fellow (PGY‑6) UK Gill Heart & Vascular Institute
  • Steven Rosenthal, MD, Cardiologist, AdventHealth Primary Care Clinic

Dr. Duke shared insight into heart health with a focus on women’s cardiovascular care and long‑term heart wellness. Her presentation highlighted the importance of prevention, awareness, and early intervention in maintaining a healthy heart across all stages of life.

Steven Rosenthal, MD, is a physician with AdventHealth Manchester, serving in the Cardiology department. Dr. Rosenthal is committed to providing compassionate, patient‑centered heart care and supporting the cardiovascular health of our community through education, prevention, and expert clinical care.

“We are proud to partner with UK Gill Heart & Vascular Institute to bring expert education like this to our community,” said AdventHealth Manchester leadership. “Events like Bloom Your Heart Health reflect our commitment to whole‑person care—supporting mind, body, and spirit.”

Bloom Your Heart Health was free and open to the community and served as part of AdventHealth Manchester’s ongoing efforts to promote heart health education throughout the year.
