Members of the AdventHealth Gordon radiology team celebrate its recent accreditation from the American College of Radiology (ACR) for the imaging departments of CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Breast Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine.

The AdventHealth Gordon radiology department has achieved accreditation from the American College of Radiology (ACR) for the imaging departments of CT, MRI, ultrasound, breast ultrasound, mammography and nuclear medicine.

The ACR Accreditation is a review process focused on diagnostic image quality, staff qualifications, policies, protocols, equipment, and therapeutic treatment. The ACR Accreditation is recognized as the gold standard in medical imaging.

“We are pleased to receive this accreditation from the American College of Radiology,” said Kaycie Sutherland, radiology manager of AdventHealth Gordon. “Undergoing this review process helps ensure that our patients in Northwest Georgia receive the highest quality radiological care and diagnostic treatment available.”

For nearly 100 years, ACR has devoted its resources to making imaging safe, effective and accessible to those who need it. ACR comprises physicians, physicists, and technology experts in radiology and is the oldest and most experienced imaging accreditation body.
