AdventHealth Fish Memorial opened an on-site outpatient pharmacy today, expanding convenient access to medications and trusted support for patients, visitors and neighbors across the community.
The pharmacy, located on campus at the Summit Building, offers prescription medications, over-the-counter items and personalized guidance from a dedicated pharmacy team. It is the first outpatient pharmacy within AdventHealth’s East Florida Division, marking an important step in bringing pharmacy services closer to the point of care.
For patients leaving the hospital, the pharmacy allows prescriptions to be filled before discharge. That means medications are ready before patients head home, with time to review instructions and ask questions while care teams are still close by. Pharmacists work directly with providers to help ensure patients understand what they’re taking and why.
“A pharmacy isn’t just about medications in a bottle,” said Eric Lunde, president and CEO of AdventHealth Fish Memorial. “It’s often where people pause and realize they still have questions. We want to create a space where people feel comfortable having those conversations right away, instead of leaving with uncertainty."
The addition reflects a need identified through the hospital’s most recent Community Health Needs Assessment, which found that many local residents experience challenges navigating care and connecting with available health resources. Making pharmacy services available on-site helps simplify that process by placing support in one central location.
The pharmacy hours of operation are 9:30 am to 6 pm Monday-Friday and is located at AdventHealth Fish Memorial, 1061 Medical Center Drive, Suite 112, Orange City, FL 32763.
