AdventHealth Fish Memorial Donates Christmas Gifts to Florida United Methodist Children’s Home

ORANGE CITY, Fla., December 20, 2019 – On Dec. 12, AdventHealth Fish Memorial donated Christmas gifts for 200 kids with the Florida United Methodist Children’s Home. Donations included items such as board games, stuffed animals, art supplies, small electronics and gift cards.

The Florida United Methodist Children's Home was established in 1908 to provide a home for orphans and other underserved children. Today it serves as a diverse ministry with two campuses that include residential, therapeutic group, foster and emergency shelter care. The organization also provides independent living assistance and a community child care center.

“The gifts will help to make a merry Christmas for all of the children in our care,” said Mark Cobia, director of marketing and communication at the Florida United Methodist Children’s Home. “That includes our residence in the Enterprise community, the residence at our Madison Youth Ranch in North Florida and the children in our foster care homes in multiple counties.”

“Joining together and serving our community members is one of the ways that we share God’s love and His healing ministry,” said Danielle Johnson, chief operating officer of AdventHealth Fish Memorial. “I’m truly grateful that we can be a blessing to children in need during this special time of year.”
