AdventHealth expands access with new advanced CT and MRI technology in Deltona

AdventHealth expands access to advanced CT and MRI services

DELTONA, Fla. AdventHealth has expanded the Deltona community’s access to advanced diagnostic imaging with the addition of a new state-of-the-art CT scanner and MRI machine, giving patients faster results and more specialized care without leaving the area.

For many individuals, imaging is the first step toward answers during an uncertain time. The upgraded technology delivers faster scan times and improved efficiency, significantly shortening appointments and reducing overall wait times so more patients can be seen each day.

Siemens X.Cite 128‑slice CT scanner,
AdventHealth added a Siemens X.Cite 128‑slice CT scanner to its Deltona outpatient campus, allowing for a broader range of imaging services.

“Waiting for answers can be one of the most difficult parts of a health journey,” said Eric Lunde, president and CEO of AdventHealth Fish Memorial. “When someone is facing a health concern, timely answers can make all the difference. Expanding imaging in Deltona means families can receive high-quality care nearby and begin the next step with confidence.”

The AdventHealth outpatient campus at 1745 Sterling Silver Blvd. in Deltona, commonly known as the Deltona Health Park, opened in 2015 as part of AdventHealth’s long-standing investment in West Volusia County. The 19,000-square-foot facility provides outpatient imaging and lab services and supports patients across the region.

The new CT and MRI systems expand capabilities for patients undergoing cancer care, including breast and prostate cancer patients. The improved technology allows physicians to detect abnormalities earlier and develop more precise treatment plans.

Siemens Altea 1.5T MRI
The AdventHealth outpatient campus in Deltona recently added a Siemens Altea 1.5T MRI to allow for a broader range of imaging services.

The Deltona facility is part of a broader AdventHealth network serving West Volusia. AdventHealth’s freestanding emergency department on Howland Boulevard has provided 24/7 care for adults and children since 2019, and AdventHealth Fish Memorial — located six miles away in Orange City — offers inpatient and specialty services for patients who require a higher level of care.

“For more than three decades, we’ve grown alongside this community,” Lunde said. “We’ve built our services step by step, always asking what families here need next. This expansion reflects that commitment, bringing advanced imaging closer to where people live and ensuring patients feel supported throughout their care.”
