Families in Barbourville have a renewed connection to care they know and trust. On Friday, February 13, community leaders, clinic providers, team members and guests gathered to celebrate the official opening of AdventHealth Daniel Boone Clinic, marking a new chapter of whole-person primary care close to home.
Formerly Daniel Boone Family Healthcare, the clinic now operates as AdventHealth Daniel Boone Clinic. Patients will continue seeing the same familiar providers and care team, now supported by the resources and faith-based mission of AdventHealth — a health system dedicated to caring for the whole person, body, mind and spirit
The clinic offers comprehensive primary care services designed to support individuals and families at every stage of life. From preventive visits to ongoing health management, the focus remains simple and personal: helping neighbors feel seen, supported and well.
“Openings like this are about more than a building,” said Nick Bejarano, president and CEO of AdventHealth Manchester. “They’re about families having access to care close to home and neighbors being known and cared for as whole people. We’re honored to be welcomed into the Barbourville community and look forward to walking alongside our neighbors on their journey to better health.”
Rodney Smith, APRN, shared gratitude for the trust patients have placed in the clinic over the years. He affirmed that the same dedicated team and personalized approach to care will continue under the AdventHealth name, with a continued commitment to the relationships built throughout the region.
A representative from the Knox County Chamber of Commerce, Claudia Greenwood, also welcomed AdventHealth Daniel Boone Clinic to the Barbourville community and recognized the clinic’s role in supporting the health and vitality of local families.
The ribbon cutting represents more than growth. It reflects AdventHealth’s mission of Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ by expanding access to compassionate, faith-based care across rural Kentucky. Through strong local partnerships and long-term commitment, AdventHealth Daniel Boone Clinic is here to serve — today and for years to come — so every person who walks through its doors can move closer to feeling whole.
