At the heart of any matter for AdventHealth is care. Whole-person care, to be exact, is the standard to which our caregivers strive for keeping people healthy in mind, body and spirit through each stage of life. Alan Ginsburg shares this vision and chose to support it through a generous gift of $3 million to the AdventHealth Cardiovascular Institute.
Included in the expansion, will be the Center for Living, featuring a genomics clinic, and a state-of-the-art Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Unit where patients will have access to prevention and wellness programs.
The genomics clinic will significantly elevate the level of care patients receive from diagnosis to treatment as well as in the prevention of diseases. Using genomic profiles, physicians and researchers will be able to determine, with unprecedented accuracy, if someone is at risk for cancer, heart disease and other conditions.
“AdventHealth was built on a strong foundation, but now it’s time we turn from the past and take a leap into the future,” said Daryl Tol, president and CEO of AdventHealth Central Florida Division. “We’re creating a health care system that’s focused on keeping people healthy.”
The Center for Living will create an environment that combines our diverse cardiovascular services with genomics and wellness programs, elevating our care and strengthening our wholistic approach to healing. Construction is slated for completion by the end of 2020 and the facility is expected to care for more than 8,000 cardiovascular patients during its first three years of operation.
This gift continues the Ginsburg family’s support of the AdventHealth Cardiovascular Institute, which started more than 10 years ago with a $20 million gift that helped fund the Ginsburg Tower.
Generosity truly heals. The impact of the Center for Living will bring health and healing to our community. For that, it is with heartfelt thanks that we extend our gratitude to Mr. Ginsburg and the Ginsburg Family Foundation for the incredible difference they are making in our community.
