A Passion for Music and Medicine
In the AdventHealth Orchestra, musically talented physicians, clinicians and team members come together to help others feel whole through the healing power of music. Formed in 2021 when a small string ensemble discovered that playing together created much-needed connection, the orchestra is now a full symphony of more than 70 physicians, nurses, therapists and team members from across our system.
In 2023, the National Organization for Arts in Health presented the orchestra with its Arts Building Resilience award, with the jury noting that the work was exemplary for the entire field of arts in health. The orchestra has performed at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, and in January 2027, it travels to Berlin and Stuttgart at the invitation of the International Conductors Guild. It is the first time our music will represent AdventHealth on an international stage.
Sharing Our Mission in Germany
In 2027, the AdventHealth Orchestra is invited to perform before a global community of conductors, educators and cultural leaders in Stuttgart, Germany, during the International Conductors Guild meetings. We also plan to partner with our sister institution in Berlin to share hope, comfort and connection through the healing power of music.
You can help send the AdventHealth Orchestra to Stuttgart to extend our mission through music and build a global community.
