Physical Therapy

Physical therapy is a form of medical treatment in which licensed professionals focus on helping patients to restore muscle function, mobility, flexibility and balance following an injury or disease. Physical therapists not only get patients moving again but also help manage their pain and reduce the likelihood of further injury. They also serve an important role in preventive health care by providing fitness programs and specially targeted exercises designed to ward off a loss of functionality and other symptoms as patients age or participate in certain physical activities. Physical therapists who work at our physician practices can directly coordinate their rehabilitation plans with the patient’s needs as stipulated by their physician, and physical therapy services are generally covered under federal insurance as well as state and private insurance companies.
