Penile Injections
Men who suffer from impotence and/or erectile dysfunction may opt for penile injection therapy when other forms of treatment are unsuccessful or otherwise not right for them. This is a treatment that the patient can undertake himself after the first several rounds are performed by his doctor, provided he is able to perform the needed injections. While serious complications from this treatment are rare, possible risks include bleeding at the injection site, infection, pain, scarring and the possibility of causing injury to surrounding tissues. Some patients may experience loss of sensation or uncomfortable side effects of their medication, so it’s important to fully discuss this treatment along with possible alternatives with your physician.
