Pediatric Congenital Heart Disease
Congenital heart disease refers to a wide range of conditions that occur from the time of birth, some of which may be inherited while others are spontaneous defects. Such conditions include aortic stenosis, atrial septal defects, AV canal defects, coarctation of the aorta, hypoplastic left heart syndrome, patent ductus arteriosus, pulmonary stenosis, tetralogy of Fallot, anomalous pulmonary venous return, transposition of the great vessels, truncus arteriosus and ventricular septal defects. Our cardiothoracic surgeons specialize in delicate pediatric surgeries to repair common to complex heart defects even in the smallest of patients. With the state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment facilities of AdventHealth at their disposal, they apply the most advanced and effective techniques to resolve children’s heart defects and help ensure that kids can grow up happy and healthy.
