Behavioral Screening
Behavioral screenings are used to help diagnose physical, neuromotor, emotional, psychosocial or behavioral disorders, and to check for related complications. Such screenings may include a physical exam to rule out any physical problems that could be causing your symptoms, lab tests to check thyroid function or test for alcohol and drugs, and a psychological evaluation with a mental health provider to talk about your behavioral patterns, symptoms and thoughts or feelings. If you are diagnosed with a behavioral disorder, your doctor will create a plan of care that may include a combination of medications, regular health screenings and lifestyle adjustments.
