How Jeremy Leads at AdventHealth
As the Chief Nursing Officer at AdventHealth South Overland Park, Jeremy Carlson, MSN, RN, brings more than two decades of nursing and leadership experience with a proven track record of driving clinical excellence, operational efficiency and team engagement.
Prio to AdventHealth, Jeremy served as Chief Nursing Officer for Ballad Health’s Southwest Virginia Market, where he oversaw nursing and clinical operations for four hospitals, two cancer centers and multiple outpatient services. Under his leadership, the region achieved significant improvements in patient flow, safety, and quality metrics, including reducing emergency department length of stay, lowering RN turnover and elevating patient experience scores to the 95th percentile nationally.
Jeremy’s career spans leadership roles such as director of emergency services at Methodist Le Bonheur South Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., and director of emergency services and hospital throughput at Munson Healthcare in Cadillac, Mich., where he successfully led initiatives to improve patient experience, reduce wait times and enhance workforce stability.
He holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University, a Bachelor of Sciences in Nursing from Ohio University and is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the American Organization for Nurse Leaders.
In his spare time, Jeremy enjoys spending it with his wife and four children and enjoys all outdoor activities and sports. He’s an advocate for doing community service and enjoys photography and woodworking as his hobbies. Jeremy is passionate about fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and compassionate care.
