Biography

David Mantilla, M.D., is a board-certified surgeon with expertise in vascular disease with open, endovascular, and hybrid techniques. Originally from South Florida, Dr. Mantilla and his family fell in love with Kansas City during his surgical training here and have made it their new home. Dr. Mantilla attended Harvard University for his undergraduate schooling and soon followed that with medical training at the Trinity School of Medicine. He obtained training in General Surgery and subspecialty training in Vascular Surgery at Menorah Medical Center and the Jobst Vascular Institute, respectively. Dr. Mantilla’s clinical practice focuses on the wholistic assessment and treatment of patients within a broad array of arterial and venous disease. His research interests include technical and device innovation in these same areas.

Spending time with family, Latin music and dancing, movies, and trying new coffee and/or BBQ places in the Kansas City area.
