Pharmacy Residency Program

About Our Program

AdventHealth Sebring — part of the AdventHealth network — is located in Florida's Heartland region, which includes Highlands and Hardee counties. Our Sebring hospital delivers whole-person healthcare to multiple communities as part of AdventHealth’s network of more than 50 hospital campuses nationwide.

AdventHealth Sebring serves as the primary practice site for our pharmacy residency program. The Sebring location has an active emergency room and a Primary Stroke Center. We are a full-service medical and surgical acute care center, including birthing services.

Nearby AdventHealth Wauchula, a critical access skilled nursing facility, is the area’s only transitional care unit and home to the only emergency department in Hardee County.

The pharmacy department works closely with providers to deliver exceptional care to our community. Clinical pharmacists are integral team members and are heavily involved in the inpatient management of pharmacokinetics, anticoagulation and therapeutic drug monitoring. Our pharmacy participates in multiple local and corporate committees, including Medication Safety, Antimicrobial Stewardship, Pharmacy and Therapeutics, Stroke, Code Blue, Readmissions and Falls. Our practice site also includes an internal medicine and family medicine residency program for interdisciplinary learning.
