Kennisha Ayers, PA-C

Kennisha Ayers, PA-C, is a physician assistant dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to patients facing complex thoracic and pulmonary conditions. Her calling to medicine began at a young age following the loss of a child from her neighborhood—an experience that left a profound and lasting impression and inspired her lifelong commitment to learning how to help others through medicine. Kennisha earned her Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science with a concentration in Sports Medicine from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. She completed her Physician Assistant Certificate at the Red Rocks Physician Assistant Program in Arvada, Colorado, while concurrently earning a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Saint Francis University in Loretto, Pennsylvania. She treats a wide range of thoracic, pulmonary, and esophageal conditions, including lung cancer and pulmonary nodules, metastatic lung disease, emphysema and bullous lung disease, bronchiectasis, tracheal and bronchial tumors, airway narrowing or stenosis, pleural effusions, empyema, pneumothorax, persistent air leaks, mediastinal masses, thymoma and other thymic disorders, and the surgical management of myasthenia gravis. Kennisha also cares for patients with esophageal cancer, hiatal hernia, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), esophageal strictures or perforation, chest wall tumors, and diaphragmatic hernias and paralysis.
