Gaurav Aggarwal, MD, is board-certified in general cardiology and cardiovascular disease He completed an interventional cardiology fellowship at Beaumont Cardiology in Royal Oak, Michigan. Before that, he served as chief fellow and completed a cardiovascular disease fellowship at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. He also completed a residency and served as chief internal medicine resident at Jersey City Medical Center in New Jersey. Dr. Aggarwal earned his medical degree from Armed Forces Medical College in Pune, India. Before coming to the U.S., he served as a medical officer in the Indian Air Force. His most recent role was as an interventional cardiology fellow at Beaumont Health in Royal Oak, Michigan. He is the author of numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and is fluent in English and Hindi.

Dr. Vivian C. Aguilar, MD, FACOG, FPMRS, is a board-certified urogynecologist specializing in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Aguilar has been extensively published in many peer-reviewed publications, invited articles, abstracts and chapters on various gynecological subjects. As an educator of medical students and residents, she has been honored with several excellence in teaching awards.

Dr. Aguilar is passionate about caring for her patients and helping them understand their particular pelvic floor disorders to determine the best personalized treatment options and improve each woman’s quality of life. A highly experienced clinician, Dr. Aguilar is proud to serve the women of Celebration and Kissimmee. She is fluent in English and a native Spanish speaker.

Salman Akram, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist who earned his medical degree from Rawalpindi Medical College in Pakistan. He completed his residency in psychiatry at Saint Elizabeths Hospital in Washington, DC, where he also served as a chief psychiatry resident. Dr. Akram is an active member in several renowned behavioral health organizations, including the American Group Psychotherapy Association (AGPA}, Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America (APPNA) and American Psychiatric Association (APA). He believes in a holistic, patient-centered approach to care that emphasizes compassion and collaboration. Dr. Akram speaks English, Urdu, Punjabi and Hindi.

Firas Al-Ani, MD, is a board-certified gastroenterologist. After receiving his medical degree from the Universitatea De Medicina Si Farmacie Grigore T. Popa in Lași, Romania, he went on to complete an internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University.

Matthew Bennett, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant specializing in orthopedics surgery. After graduating from the University of Central Florida with a degree in engineering technology, he went on to earn a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. Matthew has experience treating patients for a wide variety of orthopedic complaints and focuses on spine and total-joint care, both surgically and non-surgically. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys kayaking and cycling in Florida’s many beautiful spaces.

Jonathan Blum, DPM, is a board-certified foot and ankle surgical podiatrist. After graduating from The Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Blum received his medical degree from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. He went on to complete a foot and ankle surgery residency at HealthSouth Larkin Hospital.

A highly experienced clinician, Dr. Blum has served as a foot and ankle surgeon for over 25 years. He has published several articles on foot and ankle disorders and is widely recognized for treating numerous professional athletes from the NBA, NFL, MLB, LPGA, PGA and MMA.

A’Leyia Cunningham, APRN, is a board-certified advanced practice registered nurse with over eight years of experience. A’Leyia earned a Master of Science in Nursing, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, from St. Thomas University in Miami, FL, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, from Miami Dade College in Miami, FL. She has been a nurse manager with University Behavioral Center in Orlando, FL, since 2023, providing psychiatric nursing care as a traveling registered nurse. A’Leyia also was a travel nurse for AdventHealth Orlando in 2023. As a licensed practical nurse, A’Leyia worked at multiple mental health facilities and rehabilitation centers, caring for inpatient psychiatric patients. A’Leyia strives to provide whole-person care to each patient every day.

Verona Michelle Dacoco, APRN, is an advanced practice registered nurse. After earning a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Cebu Normal University in Cebu, Philippines, Verona received her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota specializing in adult gerontology. She specializes in the overall management of patient health — from ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests to collaborating with physicians to deliver whole-person care. She views her work as a calling and is dedicated to providing her patients with safe, compassion care, so they can feel whole in body, mind and spirit.

Gina Eljuri, APRN, is a board-certified advanced practice registered nurse with over 25 years of experience. Gina holds a Master of Science in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Herzing University in Orlando, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati, an Associate of Science in Nursing from Hillsborough Community College, as well as an Associate of Arts degree from State Florida College. Most recently, Gina worked as an assistant nurse manager on a neuro-spine unit at AdventHealth Celebration in Celebration, Florida. She is a Daisy Award nominee and a winner of the Star Award. Gina is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society for Nursing and has volunteered as Assistant Chairperson for the Nurse Practice Council and as a unit representative in the nursing pharmacy committee.

Rene A. Garcia, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner with more than 11 years of experience in nursing and mental health care. He recently completed a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and holds a Master of Science in Nursing from West Coast University in Los Angeles. Most recently, Rene was a psychiatric nurse practitioner fellow at Baptist Health Systems Behavioral Health in Jacksonville, Florida, where he provided care across inpatient, outpatient and emergency settings. Rene began his career as a patient relations nurse and clinic manager at The Palace Coral Gables. Garcia is a certified veteran and military mental health provider and is fluent in English and Spanish.

Scott S. Gordon, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. After graduating from New York Medical College in Valhalla with honors, he went on to complete an internship in general surgery and a residency in orthopedic surgery. Dr. Gordon has a wide variety of surgical experience with special interest in arthritis of the hand and wrist, carpal tunnel syndrome, joint implant arthroplasty and finger deformities. When not practicing medicine, Dr. Gordon enjoys acting, writing, filmmaking and playing music.

Alejandra Guevara Méndez, MD, is a urologist specializing in robotic urology surgery. Dr. Méndez most recently served at Health First IDN in Palm Bay, FL. She completed her Doctor of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Méndez completed an internship in general surgery and a residency in Urology at the University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Health System in Miami, FL. She is the author of numerous scholarly works and research papers. Dr. Méndez, who speaks English and Spanish, is dedicated to providing whole-person care, considering the needs of body, mind and spirit.

Christina Marie Jimenez, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, is an advanced practice registered nurse who provides primary care to patients ages 5 and up. She performs annual wellness exams, provides chronic disease management and care for men’s and women’s health. Christina is driven by her passion for helping others. She strives to provide compassionate and quality care. She’s committed to actively listening to her patients and ensuring they feel heard. She aims to provide a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment and will work with patients toward a plan for success. Christina earned her Master of Science in Nursing from AdventHealth University. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Florida. She completed an oncology and hematology fellowship with the Orlando Health Cancer Institute and is board-certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She’s a member of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Nicole Jiménez, APRN, is a certified women’s health nurse practitioner and adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner who has been part of the AdventHealth family since 2013. She most recently served as a labor and delivery nurse at AdventHealth Celebration, earning four nominations for the Daisy Award for exceptional skill and compassionate care. Prior to becoming a professional nurse, she was an honors graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi and earned a master’s degree in Latin American and Caribbean Studies at Florida International University. She thereafter completed an accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at UCF and earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She has completed both perinatal and critical care nurse internship programs and has basic proficiency in Spanish.

Education

Markus Kornberg, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon. After graduating from City University of New York, he went on to earn his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. He then completed a surgical residency at Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, Virginia and a spine surgery preceptorship at the University of Miami Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Kornberg is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and previously served as a medical officer on the USS Mount Whitney Blue Ridge-class amphibious command ship of the United States Navy.

Salman Mandhai, DO, FACC, is a fellowship-trained cardiologist board-certified in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. Dr. Mandhai received his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale. He completed his internal medicine residency at Palmetto General Hospital in Miami before undertaking his specialty training in cardiology at Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Mandhai is a member of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, American College of Cardiology and the American Osteopathic Association.

Roberto Morales, APRN, is a board-certified advanced practice registered nurse specializing in cardiology and emergency medicine. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Puerto Rico in Humacao, PR, and his Master of Science in Nursing from Nova Southeastern University in Tampa, FL. Roberto also holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix in Orlando, FL. He has five years of experience as a nurse practitioner, caring for patients with a wide range of cardiac conditions. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Roberto worked as a registered nurse at AdventHealth Celebration for seven years. Earlier in his career, he served as a paramedic with Florida Hospital. Roberto is fluent in both English and Spanish and is committed to providing whole-person care to every patient he treats.

Francisco Noda, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon. After receiving his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, Dr. Noda returned to the University of Puerto Rico School to complete an orthopedic surgery residency. He also completed an orthopaedic traumatology fellowship at Cooper Hospital University Medical Center. A highly experienced clinician, Dr. Noda, has served as an orthopedic surgeon for more than 20 years.

Winsome Osbourne, APRN, FNP-C, ACNPC-AG, is a dual-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Associate of Science in Nursing from Pasco-Hernando Community College and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Petersburg College. She then went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of South Florida and a Post Master of Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from Saint Louis University. Through her own cancer experience, Winsome knew she wanted to provide her patients with the same dedication, empathy and expertise that aided her recovery. She is a Primary Care+ Partin Settlement practitioner in Kissimmee and is accepting new patients.

Ankita Patel, PA-C is a compassionate physician assistant with comprehensive clinical training in family medicine, internal medicine, emergency care and behavioral health. She earned her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies and Bachelor of Science in Health Science from South College in Knoxville, TN. Ankita’s experience includes hands-on training in critical care, pediatrics, general surgery, OB/GYN and psychiatry, where she developed strong diagnostic skills and a whole-person approach to care. Fluent in multiple languages and committed to service, Ankita also brings a decade of community outreach experience through volunteer medical programs and youth leadership roles.

Krishna Patel, PA-C, is a physician assistant who graduated from South University in Savannah, GA, with a master's degree in physician assistant studies. Krishna also holds a Bachelor of Science in biomedical sciences from the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. Krishna has been a physician assistant with AdventHealth Orlando Urology since 2022 and before that worked for two years at Mount Sinai Hospital Department of Urology in New York City. She is dedicated to providing the highest level of care to each patient.

Gustavo Ramirez is a board-certified advanced practice registered nurse with over 5 years of experience in renal, liver, and multi-visceral transplants. Originally from Venezuela, Gustavo earned a medical degree from Carabobo University in Maracay, Venezuela. He completed an internal medicine residency at Central Hospital Maracay in Venezuela, and a gastroenterology fellowship at Central University of Venezuela in Caracas. Gustavo further specialized in hepatology training at Medical Institute La Floresta in Caracas. In the United States, Gustavo obtained a post-master's certificate as a family nurse practitioner from Miami Regional University in Miami Springs, FL. Gustavo has worked as a kidney-pancreas transplant nurse practitioner at the Miami Transplant Institute and in the gastroenterology department at the University of Miami.

Bharath Rathakrishnan, MD, FACC, FSCAI, is a board-certified interventional cardiologist who earned his Doctor of Medicine from Duke University School of Medicine, Durham, NC. Dr. Rathakrishnan completed his residency in internal medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, New York, NY. Dr. Rathakrishnan finished three fellowships at Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA, in structural cardiology, interventional and general cardiology. Most recently, Dr. Rathakrishnan was a clinical cardiology attending physician at MyCardiologist in Miami, FL, and serves as a clinical assistant professor at the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine at Florida International University. Dr. Rathakrishnan has contributed to numerous publications and enjoys teaching and mentoring students, residents, and fellows.

Alba Severino, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is an experienced advanced practice registered nurse with a broad background in primary care, gastroenterology, cardiology and aesthetic medicine. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from South University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Alba brings over two decades of clinical experience to her practice.

Throughout her career, Alba has cared for patients in both hospital and outpatient settings, delivering evidence-based care with a strong emphasis on patient education and preventive medicine. Known for her collaborative approach and deep clinical knowledge, Alba is committed to helping patients achieve lasting health and well-being through personalized care.

Ruth Velez Vargas, APRN, is an advanced practice registered nurse. After graduating from the Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico, in Guayama, Puerto Rico, Ruth received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the South Florida State College in Avon Park, FL. She went on to complete a Master of Science in Nursing, specializing as a family nurse practitioner at Keiser University in Orlando, FL.

A highly experienced clinician, Ruth has previously served as a registered nurse at AdventHealth Orlando and AdventHealth Sebring, (previously Florida Hospital Heartland) for more than 15 years. She is fluent in English and Spanish.

Kailey Wickens, APRN, is a compassionate and skilled Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with over five years of experience in primary care and managed care settings. Kailey earned her Master of Science in Nursing from South University in Savannah, Georgia and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Adventist University of Health Sciences in Orlando, Florida.

Kailey has developed expertise in managing acute and chronic conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, COPD and upper respiratory infections. Her clinical acumen is complemented by advanced skills in assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and patient education. As a family nurse practitioner, she is committed to empowering patients through education and promoting active participation in their healthcare. Kailey embodies the principles of AdventHealth’s compassionate care and strives to deliver personalized, high-quality care to every patient she serves.
