Born in Richmond, Virginia, and raised in Oklahoma City, Dr. Berland earned his undergraduate degree in mammalian physiology at Oklahoma State University in 1996. The first in his family to enter the field of medicine, Dr. Berland graduated from the University of Oklahoma Medical School in 2000. He subsequently moved to St. Petersburg, Florida, where he served his medical residency in Bayfront Medical Center’s Family Residency Program with distinction as chief resident. Later he worked as a clinical professor at Bayfront Medical Center in the Family Practice Residency Program. He founded Patients First Family Medicine in 2003. Dr. Berland is board certified in Family Medicine. His professional pursuits include involvement with the American Academy and the Florida Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Berland is certified in wound care and hyperbaric medicine, and has hospital privileges at AdventHealth Carrollwood campus and at several skilled nursing facilities. Dr. Berland sees patients 12 and up.

Allison Craig, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, has worked in healthcare for a number of years, completing more than 700 hours of clinical experience in primary care, women’s health, and pediatrics. Among other positions, she has worked as an RN at Tampa General Hospital, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, and Professional Urgent Care Services of St. Petersburg, where she also worked as an EMT.

She uses evidence-based and holistic practice in treating patients and promoting overall health and well-being, working closely with her patients on their healthcare journey. Allison Craig, APRN, see's patients ages 12 and up.

Francisco J. Delgado, DO, FACC is an osteopathic, fellowship-trained cardiologist with board certifications in internal medicine and echo and nuclear cardiology. With nearly a decade of experience, Dr. Delgado treats the full spectrum of cardiac disorders using comprehensive care and innovative technology. He has special training in transesophageal echocardiogram, nuclear and echocardiographic stress testing. The conditions he treats include, but are not limited to myocardial infarction, heart failure and atrial fibrillation.

Eric Garcia, MD is an internal medicine physician with nearly 25 years of experience and fluent in both English and Spanish. In addition to preventive care for patients ages 18 and older, Dr. Garcia offers electrocardiogram, minor dermatological procedures and mental health care.

Dr. Garcia’s love for living and for helping others live their best motivated him towards medicine. Now, as a primary care physician, his patients always come first. He provides compassionate, team-oriented care and engages his patients in their health care decisions.

Janelle Griffith, PA-C, is a physician’s assistant with 16+ years of experience in family medicine. Janelle is deeply committed to the care of all her patients and is honored by the privilege to help them restore their whole health through preventive medicine and primary care. She provides whole-family care, treating patients ages 12 and up.

Janelle earned her master’s degree in medical science at Nova Southeastern University in Naples, Florida.

Having loved medicine since age 8, Janelle is passionate about investigating and finding diagnoses that others may have overlooked, providing relief and a path forward to her patients.

Along with providing her patients with exceptional care, Janelle loves to travel and has an interest in modeling.

Kiet La, MD, CAQSM is board certified in both family medicine and sports medicine and he provides comprehensive care for patients ages 12 and up. As a primary care physician with advanced fellowship certification in sports medicine, Dr. La can perform ultrasound guided joint and other MSK injections, as well as PRP injections.

It brings Dr. La joy and fulfillment helping his patients stay healthy and active through all stages of life. He’ll empower his patients to make the best health decisions by providing unbiased, evidence-based information.

Paola Macias, PA-C, recently graduated from Florida State University College of Medicine, where she earned an MS in Physician Assistant Practice. Before her new role, she served in clinical rotation for Family Medicine at AdventHealth Medical Group at Tuscawilla, at Internal Medicine Orlando Regional Medical Center, and in Family and Geriatrics Medicine at IAM Healthy in Apopka. As a nurse assistant at James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa, she provided direct and indirect patient care in a 30-bed medical and surgical unit. Fluent in Spanish and English, Paola’s experience helps her respect patients’ cultural beliefs, ethnic backgrounds, and personal preferences.

“By acknowledging their unique situations,” she says, “my patients will have the knowledge and skills to feel empowered in their health care.” Paola sees patients 12 years and older.

Magdeley Mordan, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician fluent in English and Spanish. Dr. Mordan is passionate about providing comprehensive, preventive primary care to patients ages 12 and older to keep them healthy and well.

Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, Dr. Mordan earned her medical degree at Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) in Santo Domingo and graduated Cum Laude. She completed her residency program at Borinquen Health Care Centers in Miami, where she served as Chief Resident in her final year. During residency, she was involved in quality improvement projects to boost the quality of life of underserved populations. Before residency training, she focused on mentoring and providing community services in rural areas.

Pontea Niaki, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician who obtained her medical degree from the Saba University School of Medicine in The Bottom, Caribbean Netherlands. She also earned a Master of Public Health at West Coast University in Los Angeles, CA. She completed her residency at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, AR, where she was named Chief Resident.

Before completing her residency, Dr. Niaki worked as a clinical documentation specialist at St. Francis Hospital in Lynwood, CA. She is fluent in English and Farsi.

Dr. Niaki is dedicated to providing the best care for each patient’s body, mind and spirit.

Eric Nordstrom PA-C is an experienced and board-certified physician assistant serving children and adults ages 12 years and older in the Westchase area. Eric takes a patient first approach balancing proven treatments with comfort and compassion. Eric speaks English and German fluently. Eric has a strong desire to help each patient positively influence their lives, and each provider in his practice’s focuses on compassionate care for everyone. He is committed to offering traditional and holistic options to achieve the best possible outcomes and honor your body, mind and spirit.

Ajay P. Patel, MD is a general and vascular surgeon who is triple board certified in general surgery, vascular surgery, and undersea & hyperbaric medicine. With over two decades of experience practicing in the Tampa Bay area, Dr. Patel is known for his comprehensive and patient-centered approach to surgical care.

His specialties include laparoscopic and robotic surgery, hernia and colon surgery, endovascular procedures, abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, arterio-venous fistulas, wound care, hyperbaric medicine, angioplasty, endovascular stents, and carotid surgery.

Dr. Patel holds the designations of Surgeon of Excellence in Robotic Surgery and Surgeon of Excellence in Hernia Surgery from the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC). These recognitions are awarded to surgeons who meet rigorous standards for quality, patient safety, and superior surgical outcomes.

He sees patients 18 years and older and is fluent in Spanish.

Krishen Patel, MD, is board-certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine and obtained his medical degree from the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa, FL. He completed an internal medicine residency at the same institution. He was also awarded a gastroenterology fellowship there, which he recently completed. Dr. Patel is the author of numerous peer-reviewed articles, abstracts, oral presentations and manuscripts and was an assistant editor of the book “The Surgery Boards,” published in 2013. He is fluent in English and Gujarati.

Marco Antonio Rajo, MD is a bariatric and general surgeon who is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is fluent in Spanish and English and treats patients ages 18 and older using both surgical and non-surgical treatment options. He has advanced training in obesity medicine and weight-loss surgery, as well as complex gastrointestinal and hernia surgery. He specializes in minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic techniques.

Dr. Rajo holds the designation of Surgeon of Excellence in Robotic Surgery from the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC), a recognition awarded to surgeons who meet rigorous standards for quality and safety in surgical care. He was drawn to bariatric surgery because of the unique, lifelong patient-doctor relationships this specialty allows him to build. He places strong emphasis on education, nutrition, and exercise to help guide patients toward their goals. Dr. Rajo believes surgery is not an easy way out, but rather a powerful tool that empowers patients to become the healthiest versions of themselves.
