Melissa’s Race Continues to Advance Brain Cancer Research

The AdventHealth community was honored to once again join supporters, families and advocates at Melissa’s Race to Battle Brain Cancer — a meaningful event that continues to inspire hope and advance healing for those affected by brain cancer.

During this year’s race, Rob Herzog and Dr. Melvin Field accepted a generous donation from the Vosburg family in support of brain cancer research at AdventHealth Central Florida. Their ongoing commitment continues to make a lasting impact on efforts to advance research and bring new discoveries closer to patients and families facing a brain cancer diagnosis.

Held in memory of the Vosburg family’s daughter, Melissa, the annual race represents a powerful legacy of love, resilience and purpose. What began as a tribute to Melissa’s life has grown into a community movement dedicated to creating hope for others.

AdventHealth Research Institute is deeply grateful for the Vosburg family’s longstanding partnership and the compassion shown by everyone who participates in and supports this important event. Together, we are helping move research forward and creating a future with more hope, more healing and more whole-person care for our community.
