Analysis of objective performance metrics during robotic-assisted colorectal surgery

The purpose of this research is to identify novel metrics that characterize a surgeon’s level of experience with the Da Vinci system. These metrics will provide insights into 1) how surgeons typically progress through the Da Vinci learning curve and 2) how to design improved training curricula to accelerate progress through the learning curve.
