Orthopedic Surgeon Joins AdventHealth’s Employed Physician Group

TAVARES, Fla., April 2, 2019 – Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Donald J. Perry has joined the AdventHealth Medical Group.

As an AdventHealth Medical Group physician, Perry joins AdventHealth’s employed group of physicians with more than 300 providers, including 160 primary care doctors and specialists in Lake, Volusia, and Flagler counties.

Perry has served the Lake County community for 20 years and performs a variety of orthopedic procedures, including rotator cuff and ACL repairs, carpal tunnel releases, shoulder replacements and Mako™ Robotic-Arm Assisted Surgery for partial and total knee replacements, as well as total hip replacements. He also treats orthopedic trauma, sports injuries, and non-surgical back and neck conditions.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in biological sciences from Florida State University. He earned his medical degree and completed his general surgery residency training at Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Martin Luther King Medical Center in Los Angeles, as well as a fellowship in knee reconstruction and sports medicine at Jewett Orthopaedic Clinic in Orlando.

His office is located at AdventHealth Waterman, 3150 Waterman Way, Tavares. His practice treats patients 14 and older and accepts most insurance plans. His practice can be reached at Call352-253-3251.
