Amna Imran, MD, is a neurologist who offers general neurology care and neuro-oncology (cancer-related neurology) expertise for adults. Dr. Imran treats the spectrum of neurological health conditions, from migraines and dementia to seizures, stroke and movement disorders.
Within neuro-oncology, Dr. Imran treats primary brain tumors and brain metastases, neurocutaneous syndromes, neurofibromatosis and tuberous sclerosis, and the neurological side affects of chemo and immunotherapy.
Fluent in English, Urdu and Hindi, Dr. Imran builds strong relationships with patients of all backgrounds through excellent communication. In medical school, she had the opportunity to work with a community neurologist who had formed long-lasting relationships with her patients.
These individuals expressed profound gratitude for the positive influence she had on their lives, establishing Dr. Imran’s belief in the transformative power of compassionate health care.
Dr. Imran earned a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Cell Sciences from the University of Florida and her medical degree from the University of Central Florida. She completed a neurological residency at Osceola Regional Medical Center and a neuro-oncology fellowship at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute.
Dr. Imran has co-authored a medical textbook chapter on acute stroke, lectured on neurological topics to other medical residents, has published her research in peer-reviewed medical journals and has received numerous honors and awards. She is also a member of multiple professional medical organizations, including the Society for Neuro-Oncology.
In her free time, Dr. Imran enjoys spending time with family, traveling, cooking and creating art. A Florida native, she also loves being outdoors, absorbing all the natural beauty the state has to offer.
