Mask Use Required
Masks are required to be worn at AdventHealth Tampa. Although the CDC has recently released new recommendations for fully vaccinated individuals, these recommendations are not intended for health care settings such as the hospital. We appreciate your cooperation in helping to keep everyone safe.
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) recommendations for use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in a health care setting remains unchanged. This means all visitors at all AdventHealth locations, regardless of their vaccination status, should wear a well-fitting face mask.
- Based on these recommendations and to ensure the safety of all, AdventHealth’s personal protective equipment (PPE) policies remain unchanged and are applied to all facilities.
- AdventHealth’s PPE policies and procedures include universal masking for all team members, medical providers, patients, and visitors, regardless of vaccination status.
- As a reminder, to ensure the safety of all, patients and visitors will always be provided a face mask and asked to wear the mask during their entire stay/visit at AdventHealth facilities.
- All visitors, regardless of their vaccination status, should physically distance from other patients and visitors that are not part of their group and from team members when possible.
- Patients and visitors may wear their own face masks, however face masks with exhalation valves or vents must be covered by another face mask to adhere to safety policies, and neck/face gaiters may not be used in any of our AdventHealth facilities.
- Patients and visitors who refuse to wear a mask will be excluded from visiting and an option for virtual visitation can be provided.
