Rachel Seymour, MD, MSc

Rachel Seymour, MD, MSc, is an experienced, Board-certified family medicine physician with AdventHealth Medical Group Primary Care at Prairie Village.

Dr. Seymour provides primary care for people of all ages with all health needs. This includes preventive wellness, chronic disease management, contraceptive care, in-office procedures, mental health and acute care. Her desire is to be the first call for all her patients’ needs, developing a long-term partnership to help them achieve their health and wellness goals.

After working as a primary care physician in Leavenworth, Kansas, for six years, Dr. Seymour joined Primary Care at Prairie Village in 2023. She has served in a number of clinical leadership roles, including as member-elect of the Medical Affairs Council for Saint Luke’s Physician Group, president of the Medical Executive Committee at Saint Luke’s Cushing Hospital and chief resident of the University of Missouri-Kansas City Family Medicine Residency program. She also has served as adjunct faculty for the University of Kansas School of Medicine.

Dr. Seymour earned her medical doctorate (MD) from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and her master of medical science (MSc) in medical anthropology from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland.

In her free time, she enjoys playing with her three children, taking walks with her dog, doing yoga and growing beautiful and beneficial flowers and food for her family and neighbors in Fairway.
