John Liu, MD, is a Board-certified endocrinologist with AdventHealth Medical Group Endocrinology at Shawnee Mission. He provides endocrinology and diabetes care for adult patients in Merriam, Kansas.
After earning his undergraduate degree from Harvard University, Dr. Liu earned his medical degree from the University of Kentucky School of Medicine. He then completed both a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in endocrinology and diabetes at the University of Missouri-Columbia. He joined AdventHealth Medical Group in 2021.
Dr. Liu is Board-certified in internal medicine and in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism. He is a member of the Endocrine Society and the American Society of Clinical Endocrinologists.
Dr. Liu is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. His community volunteer work has included serving at the Harvard Square Homeless Shelter and on the Harvard admissions committee as well as volunteering at the Salvation Army Clinic in Lexington, Kentucky. When he’s not at the office, his personal interests include studying history and listening to podcasts.
