Join dietitian Lisa Markley for an engaging hands-on cooking class where she will walk you step-by-step through healthful and delicious ways to support your gut health. Together we will team up to make these mouthwatering recipes then eat together as a community.

Instructor Bio:
As a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and practitioner of Culinary Medicine, Lisa Markley integrates the art of preparing, cooking, and presenting food with the science of medicine to optimize overall wellness. She combines the enjoyment of food with the scientific knowledge of how food and dietary choices may influence our metabolism, immune function, and the development of chronic diseases.
Lisa joined the AdventHealth Whole Health Institute in 2020 as the Director of Culinary Medicine where she develops educational programs with an emphasis on culinary medicine/nutrition and provides one-on-one nutrition consults. She has also been an adjunct nutrition instructor at Johnson County Community College since 2016.
During her time as a dietitian and culinary educator, Lisa has taught hundreds of cooking and nutrition classes and is passionate about educating and empowering others how to harness the healing power of food and healthful lifestyle changes.
