In the best interest of our patients, team members and community we will postpone all elective procedures scheduled after Wednesday, March 25. This will help us stop the spread of COVID-19 in our community and conserve equipment needed to protect our caregivers and treat additional patients. If your case will be postponed, your physician’s office will contact you directly. Thank you for your understanding during this difficult time.

Interstate Construction Updates

If you travel I-35 South to get to the AdventHealth Shawnee Mission campus, please expect delays due to construction and allow extra time to get to your destination. The 75th Street off and on ramps from I-35 South are closed beginning March 20 until July. We recommend you exit on Shawnee Mission Parkway and take Antioch Road to 75th Street or exit on 67th Street and take Frontage Road. Detour signage will be available to guide you.

Visitor Hours and Restrictions

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission has a temporary "no visitors" policy at all Kansas City Metro locations. Visit our Visitor Restrictions page to learn more. Patients who are minors (under the age of 18) or disabled may have one adult accompany them. Patients who need assistance moving throughout the hospital or who require transportation following their appointment or procedure may have one adult accompany them. Birth Center patients may have one support person for labor, delivery and the duration of their hospital stay. NICU is limited to the two banded/caregivers only. Special consideration is given to families when a patient is in critical condition. We will confirm this process on a case-by-case basis and ensure families may be with loved ones during this time, while taking measures to protect our patients’ and team members’ safety.
