Blake Babcock, MD

Blake Babcock, MD, is a board-certified surgical oncologist. Dr. Babcock treats a wide variety of cancers, including sarcoma, pancreatic, liver, bile duct, appendiceal, ovarian and stomach cancer. As part of his practice, he performs robotic-assisted surgery, pancreatic resection, liver resection and stomach resection among many other procedures.

Dr. Babcock’s journey to the medical field started with a deep curiosity about the pathophysiology of cancer. While training, he found that surgical oncology would be the best path for him by offering a wide variety of surgeries to perform. Dr. Babcock is passionate about care that truly helps patients meet their lifelong goals and feel whole.

Dr. Babcock earned his medical degree at Louisiana State University School of Medicine. This led him to complete his residency at Drexel University College of Medicine and his fellowship at Loma Linda University.

In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family, whether that’s snowboarding in the mountains or cheering at the soccer field. A true New Orleanian at heart, he loves listening to live music and enjoying quality time at a crawfish boil with friends.

Dr. Babcock honors his patients’ trust by cultivating a meaningful relationship with every patient, treating them as he would his own family members. He strives to ensure that every patient clearly understands their health condition and treatment plan.
