Local Students Receive $3,000 in Scholarships

PALM COAST, Fla., May 17, 2017 The Florida Hospital Flagler medical staff awarded four local graduating high school students with $750 scholarships, totaling $3,000.

Florida Hospital Flagler radiation oncologist Dr. Luis Carrascosa presented the awards to the students during a special ceremony at the Flagler Auditorium on April 27.

This year's recipients were Flagler Palm Coast High School students Abby Duguette, Krishna Louis, Casey Riella, and Kelvin Tran.

Florida Hospital Flagler's medical staff has provided scholarships to students at Flagler Palm Coast High School and Matanzas High School since 2004. Graduating seniors complete an application and the winners are chosen from various criteria, including class rank, SAT and ACT scores, extra-curricular activities and an interest in pursuing medical field-related studies.
