Emily Billstein, PA-C

Emily Billstein is an NCCPA-certified physician associate who works in conjunction with Dr. Alter to provide orthopedic care to adults in the Flagler/Palm Coast community. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and has a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Orthopedic Surgery. She specializes in the care of knee and hip conditions, with a primary focus in total joint replacement. In addition, she has experience in management of sports injuries, fracture care, joint injections, and trauma. Emily serves on the Orthopedic Governance Committee at AdventHealth Palm Coast, which carries the designation of Joint Commission Certified Center of Excellence for Hip, Knee, and Shoulder Replacement Surgeries. She cares deeply about providing compassionate, personalized care to her patients. She has received awards for Exceptional Patient Experience and High Achievement for Patient Satisfaction.

Emily completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology at University of California, San Diego, while also becoming an Emergency Medical Technician. After working as an EMT, Medical Assistant, and Physical Therapy Technician, she went on to earn her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at University of Saint Francis, where she served as president of her class. Prior to moving in Florida, she practiced general orthopedics in Colorado, with a focus on joint replacement, foot/ankle surgery, pediatrics, and sports medicine.
