Thomas Carson, MD is a Board-certified Family Medicine physician who received a medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana. He completed his residency at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Florida, as part of the USF Family Practice Program.
Currently a clinical assistant professor of medicine at The University of Southern Florida in Tampa, Florida, and Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida, Dr. Carson has been in private practice since 1982. He also served as the medical director of Tarpon Bayou Center in Tarpon Springs, Florida, and has been aliated with AdventHealth North Pinellas in Tarpon Springs since 1982 and served as the Chairman of Medicine from 1992 to 1994, Medical Director in 1999, and Chief of Staff from 2007-2008.
Dr. Carson is also board-certified in geriatrics, sports medicine, as a home health medical director, and an aviation medical examiner.
