AdventHealth Manchester is happy to announce the successful completion of our National Diabetes Alert Day event held on March 25, 2025. The event, which took place in the AdventHealth Primary Care Clinic lobby, was a resounding success, with 11 screenings completed and numerous community members benefiting from the valuable information and resources provided.

The event featured free biometric screenings and engaging diabetes education sessions for all attendees. Our dedicated diabetes management team was on hand to answer questions, provide personalized advice, and schedule follow-up appointments for those in need.

Key participants from AdventHealth included:

  • April Couch, APRN: Provided expert consultations

We also had our community partner: Tammy Pennington of the Cumberland Valley District Health Department assisting with educational sessions.

"We are incredibly proud of the turnout and the positive impact this event had on our community," said Crystal Day, Marketing Director at AdventHealth Manchester. "Our goal was to raise awareness about diabetes and provide our community with the tools and knowledge they need to manage and prevent this condition."

The event not only provided essential health screenings but also fostered a sense of community and support. Attendees left with a better understanding of diabetes management and prevention, as well as the confidence to take control of their health.

In addition to the successful event at AdventHealth Primary Care Clinic, a second event was held at AdventHealth Clinic Corbin from 4-6pm. This event also focused on diabetes awareness and management, with 2 biometric screenings and educational sessions completed.
