AdventHealth and Walmart's Joint Safety Summit: A Community Success Story

AdventHealth and Walmart joined forces to host the inaugural Safety Summit on Wednesday, June 26th from 12 noon to 2 pm, marking a significant achievement in community outreach and safety education. The event, co-hosted by these two community-focused organizations, brought together individuals and groups dedicated to promoting safety and health.

The summit hosted knowledgeable speakers and valuable community partners. Mariah Ball, an expert in STROKE Awareness and Basic CPR, provided attendees with information about essential emergency skills. Melissa Lawson, RN, offered thorough health screenings, contributing to the community's well-being. Latasha Williams, RN, highlighted the critical role of hand hygiene in disease prevention, and Theresa Hall brought attention to the urgent issue of suicide awareness, offering hope and resources. Ashlie Skidmore provided valuable information on infant sleeping safety. The event also benefited from the participation of Air Evac, Clay County Ambulance Service, Clay County Health Department, First National Bank and Walmart, each adding their specialized knowledge to the summit's agenda.

AdventHealth and Walmart express their profound thanks to all the volunteers and participants whose dedication made the Safety Summit a success. This collaborative effort has not only educated our community but has also set the stage for what promises to be an annual tradition. We look forward to the continued partnership and the collective strides we will make towards a safer and healthier community. Thank you for being an integral part of this journey towards a brighter, safer future.
