As a resident of Clay County, Tammie care deeply for her community and meeting the unique challenges of rural healthcare. She has worked for AdventHealth for 35 years. During those years, Tammie has had to care for family members who were chronically and terminally ill, has witnessed the health disparities within our community, and the need for more nurses and more providers to provide care in her underserved community.

For her nursing degree, Tammie attended Somerset Community College before continuing her education by earning her Master of Science in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University. At AdventHealth Manchester, Tammie provides whole-person care to patients of all backgrounds and populations, helping extend the healing ministry of Christ to the patients and families she serves.
Tammie wants her patients to see her as a provider who cares about their needs and concerns. Someone who has experienced some of their same issues, while caring for family members who were ill. Tammie stated, “I like to tell my patients I have been on both sides of the hospital bed.” Her hope is that her patients and their families feel confident that they are receiving care from a competent and caring provider, and that our entire staff cares about their outcomes as well. In her free time, Tammie enjoys riding ATVs and motorcycles, and spending time at the lake. Her favorite pastime is spending time with her husband and “fur babies.”
