Emily Lewis, LCSW

Emily Henson, LCSW, a mental health counselor in Manchester, Kentucky, feels truly called to serve.

She feels the best part of her job is that it’s an extension of her faith. Isaiah 61 is one of her favorite scriptures, and she gets to see it lived out daily: binding up the brokenhearted, proclaiming liberty to those who are bound, comforting all who mourn, seeing ashes turned into beauty, despair traded for joy, healing flowing to places long devastated, overcoming shame and addressing issues of injustice.

Emily grew up in Manchester and graduated from University of the Cumberlands with a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2010 and from Asbury University with a master’s degree in social work in 2012. She's been a mental health counselor for eight years, and genuinely enjoys helping people heal, grow and become the best versions of themselves.

Emily treats depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and PTSD, and specializes in helping patients overcome the need to self-harm, substance use disorders, childhood trauma and various forms of abuse. She also has experience in hospice care and frequently provides grief counseling.

When she needs to rest and recharge, Emily enjoys gardening, baking and getting involved in mission work.
