Darlene Bugoci, MD

Darlene Bugoci, MD, is a board-certified radiation oncologist. Dr. Bugoci sees patients for benign and malignant tumors, such as central nervous system tumors, breast cancer, lung cancer and gynecologic malignancies. She also treats trigeminal neuralgia and atypical facial pain with stereotactic radiosurgery.

When she was young, Dr. Bugoci’s brother was diagnosed with terminal cancer. That experience influenced her family’s values and her career path to becoming a cancer physician. As a radiation oncologist, she has the unique privilege of empathetically guiding patients through a vulnerable journey from diagnosis to survivorship.

Dr. Bugoci earned her medical degree from The Ohio State University after graduating cum laude from Duke University with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering. She completed an internal medicine internship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and a radiation oncology residency at Kaiser Permanente Southern California. She’s a member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

Dr. Bugoci enjoys educating patients so that together, they can make shared decisions about treatment that fits best with their goals and specific needs. She treats each patient how she would want a physician to treat her or a family member.
