- Center for Advanced Joint Replacement

On the campus of AdventHealth La Grange is our Center for Advanced Joint Replacement (CAJR). Joint replacement patients need special care to achieve the best outcomes. Our facility was built
with your comfort and recovery in mind. Our operating rooms, pre-operative and recovery units were all constructed to provide the safest and highest quality experience for our patients. Everything you need for a successful joint replacement is in one place including our physical therapy gym
so you can focus on healing. At CAJR we offer hip, knee and shoulder replacements. Our Team
The highly experienced physicians use the latest in robotic technology and clinical research to provide you with the most innovative procedures and non-surgical options, tailored to your specific orthopedic needs. Our surgeons are supported by a dedicated team of nurses, anesthesiologists, physical therapists and social workers, all specially trained to help prepare you for and recover from your surgery.Advanced Technology
Using minimally invasive robotic-assisted surgery, the expert orthopedic surgeons at CAJR can bring you a shorter recovery time, better fit, less scarring and fewer risks. We are one of the few joint replacement centers in the state that uses multiple robotic surgical systems. Having access to multiple systems allow our surgeons the ability to choose the most fitting option to give you the best outcome and the quickest return to an active lifestyle. We are also the first in Illinois to use the next generation of robotic technology — VELYS™ Robotic-Assisted Solution. VELYS simplifies knee replacement surgery by helping surgeons visualize and optimize joint stability, leading to better patient outcomes. In addition, our specialized anesthesiologists keep you comfortable during total joint replacement surgery with the latest nerve-block technology and pain management protocols. The result is a convenient end-to-end patient experience that results in more precise implant placement and comfort.
We just added the CORI Surgical System, a robotics-assisted knee surgery platform that adds an extra layer of pre-surgical planning and improved precision for partial and total knee replacement procedures.
Proper positioning of the implant is important because implant alignment is a crucial factor in determining how long your implant may last.
Results
More than 40% of our patients return home on the day of surgery and our patient satisfaction rating is over 90%. We are proud to return our patients back to their active lifestyles as quickly as possible. - What Is Orthopedic Care?
-
Orthopedic surgeons, doctors and providers treat musculoskeletal conditions, such as arthritis, fractures, sprains and strains. You may need to visit a dedicated orthopedic care center if you have pain that’s keeping you from your favorite activities or interfering with daily life.
An orthopedic provider can complete a comprehensive evaluation to learn more about your symptoms and what may be causing them. You’ll also likely have a physical exam during your initial visit. Based on those findings, your doctor may then refer you for diagnostic testing, like an X-ray or MRI, to get to the bottom of what’s causing your pain.
From there, you’ll work together to create a treatment plan that meets your needs. Treatment could include physical therapy, minimally invasive procedures like steroid injections and surgery, if needed.
