Dr. Boykin is the Medical Director of the AdventHealth Hendersonville Shoulder and Sport Medicine Centers. Dr. Boykin earned his medical degree from Vanderbilt University and completed his residency and internship at Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program in Boston, Massachusetts. He specializes in disorders of the shoulder, knee and hip in addition to all sports-related injuries.
In his free time, Dr. Boykin enjoys playing guitar and participating in outdoor activities such as fishing, tennis and hiking with his family. Dr. Boykin feels whole through the care and support of his family, friends and church.
Awards & Recognition
Dr. Boykin is board-certified and fellowship-trained in Orthopedic Sports Medicine & Shoulder Surgery. He is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM) and the International Society for Hip Arthroscopy (ISHA). Not only this, but he also has been published in health journals, authored chapters in books, and reported research at international meetings.
